Receptionist

Job Title:                         Receptionist  -  Initial 3 days per week, term-time only

Reports to:                    Office Manager

Salary:                         Starting salary NJC scale 2,  scale point 3, pro-rata salary:                                                         £14,344pa  (FTE £26,238).   Rising to NJC scale 2, scale point 4                                               pro- rata salary: £14,560 (FTE £26,634)

Working Days:       Initially for 3 days per week, Wednesday – Friday preferred                                                     (8.00am – 4.15pm) 7.75 hours per week, 38.6 weeks per year,                                                 (term time only).   Some flexibility on actual days may be                                                              available.

Place of Work:            Vyners School

Start date:                 As soon as possible

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a RECEPTIONIST.  The successful applicant will provide an efficient front of house and administrative service.  This is an ideal opportunity for experienced, confident and proactive candidates who wish to develop their school office experience.  Previous experience of working in a school office environment is desirable but not essential.  This is initially a temporary contract.

Vyners is a very popular and oversubscribed mixed eight form entry, 11-18 comprehensive school, situated in a pleasant residential area in North West London, bordering Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.    We have a track record of real success at all Key Stages.  We are well known for high academic standards, good behaviour, and our strong community spirit including a strong house system with students leading their peers.  “Pupils have a positive attitude towards their work and enjoy learning” (Ofsted 2019).  Many students are involved in extracurricular sport, music and drama, performing at a high level including prestigious public events and performing in our own school productions.
